Check Photo Location Data before Sharing

Understand the difference between removing EXIF and hiding visible details.

Metadata is not the image itself

EXIF may contain capture date, camera details, and GPS. Export a new file with metadata removed, then make sure that is the file you actually send.

A visible address, name badge, face, or license plate is made of image pixels. Use the mosaic tool to cover those areas separately.

Final check

Reopen the new image and inspect both visible details and any remaining location indicators. Re-encoding can change format or appearance, so keep the original privately.
